Greenfoot JAVA can also be used in Stage 6 Software Design particularly when teaching Programming Paradigms as an example of an Object Orientated program. It makes the whole idea of instantiating objects easy to see and understand. You can visually see the hierarchy and how inheritance works using the Actor Class. All you need to participate is the latest version of Greenfoot JAVA downloaded from the www.greenfoot.org.
Session 2 with Karen Binns: Transmedia Making in Science and Technology. Transmedia is a project that combines multiple media forms. Karen will share a Stage 3 Mission to Mars project that involved making, Minecraft and robotics. There will be time during the session for teachers to share or ask questions about units of work that they are teaching.
Session 3 with Helen Kardiasmenos: AR/VR in K-6. Discover how to use VR/AR tools effectively in your classroom to make real-world connections whilst meeting curriculum outcomes. See how your K-6 students can use technology to superimpose information onto a real-world environment.
